Posted on

Researcher Sabrina Da Silva, from the Gaspar Fructuoso Foundation (FGF, Azores), will undertake a two-week research stay at the Biotechnology Department of the Canary Islands Institute of Technology (ITC) within the framework of the NATUR-EXT project.

During her visit, she will participate in several research activities focused on the development of extraction processes for bioactive compounds, using advanced equipment available at the ITC facilities. This stay will contribute to advancing the valorisation of natural resources and plant-based biomasses, which are key research lines within the project.

The collaboration between the Canary Islands Institute of Technology (ITC), the University of the Azores (UA), and the Gaspar Fructuoso Foundation (FGF) strengthens scientific links between the Canary Islands and the Azores, promoting knowledge exchange, technological capacity building, and cooperation in the fields of biotechnology and natural resource valorisation.
