The technical team of the Canary Islands Institute of Technology (ITC) has recently taken part in a specialized course on biomass microencapsulation, delivered in Germany by a European reference center in advanced processing technologies (Romaco Innojet GmbH).
This training has enabled the NATUR-EXT project staff to gain deeper insight into key techniques for the granulation, stabilization, and protection of active compounds derived from natural resources, ensuring their quality and functionality during their incorporation into new products.
The expertise acquired will be essential for the commissioning and optimization of the pilot-scale equipment and processes planned within NATUR-EXT, and it marks the beginning of the development of activities related to biomass microencapsulation and valorization.
