Optimize scalability, technology transfer, and specialized training:

Optimization and validation of extraction techniques for high‑value compounds from native biomass
Determination, optimization and validation of techniques and methods for extracting mature compounds from native biomass, under a traceability framework. Specific Objective 1 aims at studying and troubleshooting novel extraction techniques that allow the successful recovery of high‑value compounds, for their industrial integration and valorisation.
Development of procedures for extraction and validation of emerging compounds of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical interest
Study and development of extraction, purification, characterisation and structural determination procedures for emerging compounds with antibiotic, anticancer, antifungal capacities, etc. Specific Objective 2 seeks the targeting, study, extraction and validation of new compounds of interest that can be incorporated into the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and/or Canary Islands food industries.
Scalability and technology transfer of extraction processes for mature and emerging compounds
Scalability of extraction processes for mature compounds. Technical and technological transfer. This specific objective aims at bringing mature compounds to market and studying the feasibility of future implementation of emerging compounds.
